"Greene Urges Formation of Jan. 6 Select Committee"

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is calling for the creation of a new Jan. 6 select committee that would target the original members of the panel and exonerate the "MAGA" wing of the Republican Party from blame associated with the Capitol attack. Greene wants the committee to issue subpoenas to the original committee members, former Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and the witnesses who testified. She believes there needs to be investigations and accountability for all the lies, deceit, and lives ruined. Speaker Mike Johnson recently announced the release of thousands of hours of security footage from Jan. 6, and more than 1,100 people have been charged in connection to the insurrection. The House panel's probe connected former President Trump to the attack, leading to unanimous recommendations for the Department of Justice to investigate him. Greene aims to make similar referrals and launch investigations under a theoretical Trump second term.
