GOP Convention: Trump's Presence and Electability Worries

Some members of Georgia's state Republican convention are seeking to ban GOP officials they consider ideological traitors from future primary election ballots, including Governor Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, who refused to overturn Trump's loss in the 2020 election. The proposals could be used against candidates who show insufficient purity on abortion or taxes. Trump is expected to appear at the convention on Saturday, his first visit to Georgia since March 2022.
