George Santos files for 2024 reelection amidst scandal and trolling.

Rep. George Santos, R-N.Y., who has faced criticism over allegations he lied about his campaign last year, has filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission to run for reelection in New York's 3rd congressional district in 2024. The House Ethics Committee is currently investigating Santos over allegations about his 2022 midterm campaign, and a former roommate has accused him of masterminding a 2017 credit card skimming operation in Seattle. Santos has resisted calls to resign but did step down from his House committee seats at the end of January.
