Gen Z's midterm support could be a game-changer for Democrats.

Democrats won the most competitive races in the 2022 midterms due to higher voter turnout, particularly among young voters who overwhelmingly favored Democratic candidates. Women voters also propelled Democrats in contested races, while Democrats made limited inroads with non-college voters. However, there was a drop in turnout among Black voters, and Democrats won a slightly smaller share of Black voters compared to 2020. Despite this, Democrats continue to have consistent support among Latino voters.
