Former Wisconsin GOP chair Andrew Hitt expressed fear for his family's safety when he signed paperwork as a false elector for Donald Trump, admitting he was "tricked" into participating in the scheme to overturn the election results. Hitt, along with 10 false electors, settled without admitting wrongdoing, and agreed not to serve as presidential electors in future elections featuring Trump. He testified before the U.S. House special committee investigating the events of Jan. 6, and Trump attorney Kenneth Chesebro is reportedly cooperating with a Wisconsin state investigation into the matter.
