Former Executive Assistant Accuses Andrew Cuomo of Sexual Assault in Lawsuit

Former executive assistant Brittany Commisso has filed a lawsuit against former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, accusing him of sexual assault. Commisso alleges that Cuomo subjected her to continuous sexual harassment, including unwelcome advances, sexualized comments, and forcible touching. The lawsuit also claims that then-Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul demoted Commisso after she rejected Cuomo's offer to date her. Cuomo resigned as governor in August 2021 following multiple sexual misconduct allegations. Cuomo's attorney denies the claims, stating that they are provably false. Commisso's allegations were previously featured in a report by the New York Attorney General.
