"Effort to Recall Wisconsin Speaker Vos Falls Short of Signatures Needed"

Organizers of a recall attempt against Wisconsin's Assembly Speaker Robin Vos failed to gather enough valid signatures in his district, falling about 945 signatures short. The state's legislative maps have changed since then, complicating the final counting of signatures. The Wisconsin Elections Commission plans to conduct a second review of signatures and seek clarification from the state Supreme Court on which district boundaries to use when determining whether the recall organizers gathered enough signatures to trigger a recall election.
