"DA Takes Legal Action Against Sacramento City's Inaction on Homelessness Crisis"

The lawsuit claims that the city has allowed and enabled a public safety crisis regarding the unhoused population. The district attorney is demanding that the city consistently enforce its ordinances on unlawful camping, storage, and sidewalk obstructions, as well as create more temporary emergency shelter and caping spaces. The city has responded by stating that it has attempted to work with the district attorney and looks forward to responding to the claims in court.
