Controversies Surrounding Travel to Florida

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis criticized the NAACP's travel advisory warning Black Americans against visiting Florida as a "political stunt" and a "total farce." He touted Florida's low crime rates, high number of Black-owned businesses, and Black education outcomes. DeSantis also pointed out that Florida is the number one state for net in-migration and tourism. He accused left-wing groups of colluding with legacy media to manufacture a narrative and claimed that they are failing at their job of being conscientious citizens.
