Controversial Actions of Tennessee Rep. Justin Jones and the Tennessee Three

Newly reinstated Tennessee Rep. Justin Jones was caught on surveillance footage throwing a traffic cone at a driver during a 2020 Black Lives Matter protest outside the state Capitol. Jones, who was recently expelled from the state legislature for leading a gun control protest, claimed that the driver was hurling racial slurs at the protesters and that he was not violent. Jones and fellow Democrat Justin Pearson were both reinstated earlier this week after being expelled from the Tennessee House of Representatives.
