Senators Kyrsten Sinema and James Lankford criticized the Biden administration for not enforcing border laws and called out White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre for falsely claiming that illegal immigration has decreased since President Biden took office. Sinema, who hails from Arizona, said that anyone with eyes can see that the border is not secure and that border communities in her state are already suffering. She suggested that the administration begin by enforcing the laws that are on the books to address the border crisis. Title 42 is expected to expire on May 11.
