Biden addresses debt ceiling crisis, DOJ clears Pence in document probe

The debt ceiling bill passed by Congress won't be signed by Joe Biden until Saturday at the earliest, according to White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. Credit rating agency Fitch warned that the US government's credit rating could still be downgraded despite the bill's passage. The Republican National Committee has set new requirements for candidates to qualify for its first presidential debate in August. Donald Trump's attorneys have been unable to find a classified document he claimed to have in a recording given to prosecutors. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been invited to speak to Congress during his visit to Washington DC on June 22.
