Asa Hutchinson's Unique Approach to Trump and 2024 Race

Asa Hutchinson, a former two-term Arkansas governor and GOP presidential candidate, is urging former President Donald Trump to drop out of the 2024 race and deal with his mounting legal issues. Hutchinson emphasized his view that "the office of the presidency is more important than any one person," and that while Trump has "the presumption of innocence… what he faces is very distracting." Trump, who’s the early front-runner for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, is scheduled in court to answer to an indictment by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, making him the first former president in U.S. history to be charged with a crime.
