Arizona GOP Sends Warning by Expelling Representative for Ethics Violation.

The Arizona state House has expelled Republican lawmaker Liz Harris for violating ethics rules by inviting a conspiracy theorist to a joint committee hearing. Harris faced backlash in February after the witness baselessly claimed that state public officials, including Democratic Governor Katie Hobbs, were taking bribes from drug cartels. Harris was expelled by a 46-13 vote, with all 28 Democratic members voting in favor of the motion and 18 of 31 Republican colleagues joining them. Harris warned her fellow Republicans to "toe the line" or face similar consequences.
