Arizona Democrat censured for hiding Bibles at state legislature

Arizona State House of Representatives censured Democratic Representative Stephanie Stahl Hamilton for hiding Bibles in a State Capitol room in April. The House Ethics Committee found that she violated House rules by engaging in "disorderly" and "disrespectful" conduct. Stahl Hamilton claimed that she moved the Bibles as a prank. The House security team installed a camera in the members-only lounge and found her moving the Bibles and placing them under cushions. Democrats accused the House of acting improperly by going through with the censure, arguing that the majority vote would need to be 31.
