2020 Election Charges: Updates on Clark, Georgia Trump RICO Indictment, and Chesebro

Conservative lawyer Jeffrey Clark is one of the co-defendants indicted alongside former President Donald Trump in the Georgia election case. Clark is charged with violating the Georgia RICO act and attempting to commit false statements and writings. The indictment alleges that Clark made false claims about election fraud and attempted to persuade officials to overturn the election results. Clark, who previously worked for the Justice Department under Trump, continued to communicate with Trump despite being advised not to. The federal indictment also describes Clark as a co-conspirator who attempted to use the Justice Department to open sham election crime investigations. However, Clark has not been charged with any crimes in the federal indictment.
