I-55 Dust Storm Crash Claims Lives of Champaign Couple and Others

Michael and Amy Zinchuk, a couple from Champaign, were among the seven people who died in the I-55 pileup caused by a dust storm on Monday. Amy was a piano teacher who taught around 60 students, while Michael was an avid reader and history lover. They met at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and were married in 1992, raising their children in Champaign. The couple is survived by their three children and eight siblings. A GoFundMe has been set up to raise funds for their children's expenses.
