Storm Causes Chaos and Power Outages in ArkLaTex Region.

State, parish and city leaders discussed response to the storms that impacted Caddo Parish, resulting in major road closures, power outages, water system disruptions, and the need for cooling centers. SWEPCO is currently focusing on tree and debris removal, and restoration of public safety and critical municipal infrastructure. Citizens are encouraged to sign up for the parish/city emergency alert system and reach out to United Way 2-1-1 Help Line for assistance. Officials urge the public to stay safe after the storm by staying away from downed power wires and fallen trees.
