Severe storms wreak havoc in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.

A tornado hit Sussex County, Delaware, on April 1, causing one fatality and leaving thousands without power. The tornado cut a 14-mile path of destruction from Bridgeville to Ellendale, impacting at least two to three dozen homes. The severe weather also caused widespread residential damage and power outages. State officials and volunteer organizations are mobilizing resources and personnel to respond to the damage. The National Weather Service plans to conduct storm surveys in affected areas. A call center has been set up for those in need of assistance.
