High winds from the southwest caused power outages throughout Stark County, Ohio, with nearly 39,000 customers losing electricity. As of 8 p.m., nearly 17,000 customers in Stark County were still without power. Ohio Edison reported that nearly 22,000 customers in Stark had lost power. Emergency management officials expected some homes to be without power for a day or two due to fallen trees and power lines. The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory until midnight, warning of power outages, downed power lines, and downed trees.
