Identifying the Victims: Alaska Landslide Claims Lives of Family Members and Former US Rep Candidate

The victims of a devastating landslide in Wrangell, Alaska, have been identified as a family of five and their neighbor, a commercial fisherman who ran for a seat in the U.S. House last year. The parents and their oldest child have been found dead, while the two younger children and the neighbor remain missing. The landslide, which occurred during heavy rainfall and strong winds, destroyed homes and buried a highway, cutting off access to around 54 residences. Efforts are underway to clear debris and provide supplies to those affected.
