Flooded Cranston: Residents rescued, rivers rise

Residents of the Riverview Terrace Apartments in Cranston, Rhode Island were evacuated by boats due to flooding caused by the nearby Pocasset River overflowing its banks. Fire crews monitored the rising water levels and conducted precautionary evacuations to ensure residents would not be stranded without essential services. The residents are currently sheltering at the Cranston Senior Center with assistance from the Red Cross, and more evacuations are expected as water levels continue to rise.
