Fatal Storm in St. Louis: Two Dead, Thousands Without Power

Fierce storms in the St. Louis area resulted in two fatalities, widespread power outages affecting over 89,000 customers, low water pressure, and flooded roads. A 5-year-old boy died when a tree fell on his house, and a 33-year-old woman died when a tree fell on her parked car. The storms also caused damage to buildings and infrastructure, including a water treatment plant. A boil-water advisory was issued for certain areas, and residents were advised to boil water before using it for drinking or food preparation.
