Utah Homes Slide into Canyon Amid Safety Concerns.

Two homes in Draper, Utah, collapsed and slid off a hill due to dangerous conditions caused by earth shifting. The homes were evacuated in October 2022, and engineers and public safety personnel issued an evacuation notice to the residents of two more homes situated on each side of the collapsed houses. The trail beneath the collapsed homes has also been closed to the public due to the dangerous conditions. The city is evaluating the other surrounding homes to ensure their safety, and they have been in contact with the structure’s developers, Edge Homes, to discuss the developers’ engineering studies on the stability of the area.
