Two empty homes in Draper, Utah slid off their foundations due to earth shifting, prompting the evacuation of two adjacent residences. The city had declared the homes "unfit for human habitation" in October and had been following up with the developer for months on engineering studies regarding the stability of the area. Other homes in the neighborhood will be evaluated for safety concerns as the snow pack melts and creates changes in conditions. Two public trails have been closed following the slide.
