"Tornado injures 8 at Wyoming coal mine site"

A tornado hit the North Antelope Rochelle Mine in Campbell County, Wyoming, injuring eight people and halting operations. Peabody Energy confirmed that all employees had been accounted for, and six were still being treated in hospitals. The mining site is the largest in the country and produced nearly the same amount of coal in 2021 as Illinois and Montana combined. Operations will remain suspended until damage assessments are completed.
