Sherman Oaks Landslide Damages Homes and Forces Evacuations

A landslide in Sherman Oaks damaged at least three homes, prompting some residents to be evacuated overnight. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to reports of a large tree and wires down in the backyard of a residence and discovered a significant portion of the hillside had slid down toward homes in the area. One home under construction sustained the most damage and will be red-tagged, while another was yellow-tagged. No injuries were reported, and all occupants safely evacuated.
