Multiple Fires Spark Evacuations in Ruidoso and Lincoln County

The Chance Fire, a grass fire in the area of Chance Loop in Cedar Creek, has prompted voluntary evacuations for those living in the Cedar Creek Alpine Village and active evacuations for Spring Canyon and Chance Loop. First responders are battling the fire with 50 crews from all county agencies and air attack. PNM customers in Ruidoso have power and there is zero impact to PNM poles, wires, or other infrastructure.
