Search Underway for Missing Kayaker on Mississippi River near Hahnville

St. Charles Parish officials are conducting a search for a missing kayaker, Melvin Phillip Emde, who went overboard from his kayak on the Mississippi River near Hahnville. The search began after Emde was reported missing by a family member. Anyone with information is urged to contact the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office.
