US Army Equipped with Advanced Precision Strike Missiles, Enhancing Long-Range Engagement

The US Army has received its first delivery of the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM), a new short-range ballistic missile that will replace the powerful MGM-140 Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS). The PrSM has a range of 250 miles and can be equipped with a cluster munition payload. The introduction of the PrSM may alleviate strains on the US stockpile and potentially create opportunities for more ATACMS to be sent to Ukraine, which has previously received a small number of ATACMS missiles.
