"Mayport-based USS Mason Sailor Dies in Red Sea Incident"

The Navy identified Aviation Machinist’s Mate 2nd Class Oriola Michael Aregbesola, 34, as the sailor who died in a non-combat related incident while underway in the Red Sea aboard the destroyer Mason. The incident is currently under investigation, and Aregbesola, who first enlisted in the Navy in July 2020, was reported missing at sea before search and rescue operations were conducted.
