Christiane Amanpour criticizes CNN's handling of Trump town hall

CNN anchor Christiane Amanpour criticized her own network for hosting a town hall event with Donald Trump, saying she had a "very robust exchange of views" with the CEO who approved and defended the decision. Amanpour said she hoped CNN could rebuild trust with audiences and suggested that the media should revert back to the strategies employed in the 1950s during anti-communist hysteria stoked by Joseph McCarthy. She also suggested that less is more and live is not always right.
