International Investigation Launched into Titan Submersible Implosion

The US Coast Guard is leading an investigation into the implosion of the Titan submersible that was carrying five people to the Titanic, with assistance from Canada, France, and the UK. The Marine Board of Investigation is the highest level of investigation conducted by the US Coast Guard. The Navy has discontinued the use of the Flyaway Deep Ocean Salvage System, which had the capability of lifting an intact Titan back to the surface.
