Multiple Water Main Breaks Cause Traffic Disruptions in Buffalo

A water main break on Monroe Avenue in Brighton, New York, caused road closures and impacted businesses and homeowners. The cause of the break is unknown. The Monroe County Water Authority and Brighton Sewer Department shut off the pipe to prevent further flooding. Some businesses had to operate without faucet water, while others used bottled water as a precaution. One lane in each direction on Monroe Avenue has since reopened to traffic.
