A Monroeville police officer was shot multiple times by a suspect involved in an armed robbery at a Crumbl Cookies store in the Miracle Mile shopping center. The officer, who was shot after approaching the suspect, was taken to Forbes Hospital in stable condition. The suspect was arrested without further incident, and two handguns were recovered.
