"Communities Across America Commemorate 22nd Anniversary of 9/11 Attacks"

The Chicago area will hold various events to commemorate the 22nd anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks, with ceremonies planned across the city and suburbs to honor the nearly 3,000 victims. Mayor Brandon Johnson will attend a ceremony hosted by the Chicago Fire Department at Engine 42 in Streeterville, while other organizations and groups will also hold events throughout the Chicagoland area. September 11th is nationally recognized as Patriot Day, a day of service and remembrance.
