Alex Jones, the far-right conspiracy theorist and InfoWars broadcaster, plans to resist efforts by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis to compel him to testify in the trial of two Donald Trump co-defendants. Jones' attorney stated that he has nothing to offer in the trial and would plead the Fifth Amendment if ordered to testify. Willis seeks Jones' testimony due to his contacts with an attorney involved in Trump's efforts to overturn the 2020 election. Jones, a vocal supporter of Trump's false claims, has not been charged for his actions during the Capitol breach on January 6, 2021. Willis also intends to seek testimony from other potential witnesses, including Ronna McDaniel and Boris Epshteyn.
