Capitol Riot Conspirator Ray Epps Sentenced to Probation

Ray Epps, a former Marine targeted by conspiracy theories, has been sentenced to one year of probation and 100 hours of community service for his involvement in the Capitol riot. Despite denying claims that he was a federal agent, Epps was captured on video outside Congress on January 6, 2021, and seen urging people to enter the building. Conspiracy theories alleging his ties to the FBI have persisted, leading to Epps suing Fox News for defamation. Over 1,200 defendants have been charged in connection with the riot, with more than 900 pleading guilty or being convicted.
