Fox News Lawyers Face Sanctions for Withholding Evidence in Libel Case.

The judge overseeing Dominion Voting Systems' $1.6 billion defamation case against Fox News has expressed anger and frustration at the network's attorneys for potentially withholding evidence and is considering ordering an independent review by a special master that could lead to sanctions. The judge's admonishment came after Fox only recently turned over recordings of Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo talking with two lawyers for then-President Donald Trump, Sidney Powell and Rudy Giuliani, and after the disclosure that Fox lawyers had withheld critical information about the role company founder Rupert Murdoch played at Fox News. The trial is scheduled to start Thursday with jury selection.
