California begins disciplinary hearing against Trump attorney John Eastman.

Conservative attorney John Eastman, who developed a dubious legal strategy to keep former President Donald Trump in the White House after his defeat in the 2020 election, faces 11 disciplinary charges in a hearing before the State Bar of California that could result in him losing his license to practice law in the state. Eastman is expected to testify in his own defense and the proceedings are expected to last at least eight days. The State Bar’s counsel will seek Eastman’s disbarment if he is found culpable of the alleged violations.
