Adnan Syed's Murder Conviction Reinstated by Maryland Appeals Court.

Adnan Syed, whose story was featured in the Serial podcast, has had his murder conviction reinstated by a Maryland appeals court panel. Syed had his conviction vacated in September after prosecutors failed to hand over evidence that could have affected the outcome of his case. However, the appeals court ruled that the lower court had violated state law by not giving the victim's family adequate notice of the hearing to vacate the conviction. A new hearing will now be held to vacate Syed's conviction.
