Supervisor Deputy Arrested for Alleged Excessive Force

Staff Sergeant Seth Boudreaux, a supervisor at the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office, has been arrested and charged with simple battery and malfeasance in office for allegedly using excessive force while responding to a domestic violence incident. Body cam footage released by Sheriff Bobby Webre showed Boudreaux punching the suspect, Darrin Regira Jr., after he allegedly tried to pull away from the deputy. Boudreaux has been terminated from his position, and Regira has been charged with domestic abuse, battery, and child endangerment.
