Community Celebrates Life and Legacy Through Sports and Art

The Kilpatrick family in Nebraska held their 12th annual Carla Kilpatrick Memorial Bags Tournament, a corn hole competition, in honor of their late family member who died of breast cancer. The event serves as a way to spread positivity and raise funds for the Buffet Cancer Research Center. Participants from out of state don fun costumes and compete in the tournament, which has raised approximately $50,000 over the past 12 years. The family hopes to raise between $60,000 to $65,000 this year.
