Dog Goes to Great Lengths to Reunite with Puppy Pal at Shelter

Brenda, a brown dog, climbed over a cement wall at Minneapolis Animal Care and Control (MACC) to be with her buddy, Linda, in the next kennel over. The pair came in as strays and are now inseparable, with MACC hoping they leave together. Adoptions are down and surrenders are up 20% from 2022, which was a record-setting year, due to housing issues. Large dog adoptions have slowed nationwide, but MACC is waiving adoption fees for dogs 7 months or older this weekend and encourages fostering, donating, or volunteering at local animal shelters.
