UGA Senior Recovers from Brain Injury After Spring Break Trip to Mexico.

University of Georgia senior Liza Burke is making progress towards recovery after suffering a brain hemorrhage while on vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Burke was transported to the Mayo Clinic Florida in Jacksonville and is no longer on life support, but still requires a ventilator as a precaution. Her brain pressure has leveled out and she is now only on medication for pain. Burke's mother reported that she has become more reactive, with her pupils reacting to sudden changes and even lifting her head from the pillow. A GoFundMe page was created to raise money for Burke's air transport from Mexico to Jacksonville, which raised over $143,000 before it was suspended.
