Bee attacks injure cop and volunteer in Los Angeles.

A civilian police volunteer in Los Angeles collapsed after being repeatedly stung by a swarm of bees while attempting to get into his marked car. The bees are believed to have come from a hive at a home undergoing renovations. The volunteer was hospitalized in stable condition after being stung dozens of times. Another man working on a house in the area also suffered multiple bee stings. Police sealed off the neighborhood and ordered residents to stay indoors until bee handlers arrived to remove the insects.
