Massive Crowds and Street Closures Mark SF Carnaval Parade

Huge crowds celebrated Carnaval San Francisco, the largest multicultural festival on the West Coast, featuring a parade, music, food, and performances that honor Latin-American, Caribbean, and African cultures. The event, now in its 46th year, spanned 20 blocks in the Mission District and included 50 local artists and 400 vendors.
