SpaceX hires 14-year-old prodigy as software engineer

Kairan Quazi, a 14-year-old from California, is set to become the youngest graduate in Santa Clara University's 172-year history. Quazi, who has been described as a child prodigy, will also start a job at SpaceX's satellite internet division, Starlink, in July. He began speaking in full sentences at two years old and was found to have an intelligence in the 99.9th percentile of the general population in third grade. Quazi enrolled at Las Positas community college at the age of 9 and transferred to Santa Clara to study computer science and engineering when he was 11.
