Kentucky Education Commissioner Jason E. Glass Resigns

Kentucky Commissioner of Education Jason E. Glass has announced that he will step down from his position on September 29 to become the associate vice president of teaching and learning at Western Michigan University. Glass, who was appointed commissioner in 2020, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve and thanked the Kentucky Board of Education and the staff at the Kentucky Department of Education. The board will hold a meeting in mid-August to determine next steps and a timeline for selecting an interim commissioner.
