JCPS Cancels School in Louisville for Thursday and Friday

Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) in Kentucky has canceled school for the rest of the week due to significant transportation issues on the first day. Superintendent Marty Pollio called it a "transportation disaster" and apologized. The district will use the next four days to fix issues with the new transportation plan to ensure student and staff safety. All extracurricular activities are also canceled. The school days will be treated as traditional snow days, with no non-traditional instruction. JCPS employees will practice their routes to become more familiar with their runs and stops.
